TOURNAMENT

History of the Tournament

The tournament began in 1997 as the Luso-American Education Foundation’s annual fundraiser, creating opportunities for students and supporting cultural activities. Over the years:

Historical Names

  • 2007: Renamed the Sam Pelicas Memorial Golf Classic to honor a dedicated founding member.
  • 2009: Renamed the Pelicas/Rosario Memorial Golf Tournament to recognize the contributions of Manuel Rosario, another key supporter.

Event Highlights

  • Play for a Cause: Tee off with friends and fellow supporters at one of California’s premier golf courses.
  • Exciting Prizes: Compete for awards, raffle prizes, and recognition.
