Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a creative Marketing Intern/Assistant to support the creation of marketing visuals. This will include both static graphics and short form videos while contributing to the growth of our social media presence and email campaigns. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a creative role ideal for an organized, imaginative and eager to learn candidate.

• Create content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) to grow our social media presence.
• Create and edit short-form videos in Canva for Instagram Reels, TikTok and Facebook.
• Assist the Marketing Operations Specialist in scheduling content ideas and writing engaging captions while also assisting with light copywriting.
• Build and manage email campaigns using Constant Contact for community events and outreach efforts, etc.
• Maintain and organize marketing media assets.
• Performs other administrative tasks that may be assigned for the efficient operation of the Society.

Qualifications:

• Degree seeking candidates in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Proficient in Canva (both graphic and video tools).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to quality and excellence. Excellent time management skills.
• Familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and content best practices.
• Basic Knowledge and experience using Constant Contact or similar marketing software.
• Ability to make independent decisions and solve problems, following company policies & procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects and initiatives.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong eye for design, detail oriented and creatively driven.

Responsibilities:
– Transcribes the Board of Director, executive and event committee meetings from recordings to create meeting minutes; prepare agendas and reports as required. Distributes Board and committee meeting packets.

– Assist with the organization of all LAEF events and work with committee chairs to purchase materials, reserve venues, create invitations, promote events, etc. Perform work preparation, coordination and contact volunteer involvement in programs related to the Foundation events.

– Track fundraising efforts to include but not limited to: donations, event payments, and sponsorships. Assist the fundraising events to generate revenue and awareness and maintain relationships with donors and sponsors. Ensure donations are credited to appropriate account(s). Send out thank you letters to donors and acknowledgment letters.

– Collaborate with the marketing department to develop and communicate strategies to raise awareness for events/programs, scholarships, and the organization.

– Maintain the database with current address, phone numbers and dues paid to date for members. Responsible for mailing annual invoices for membership dues.

Qualifications:
– Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; preferred associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or combination or education and experience.

– Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including the ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.

– Excellent listening and presentation skills. Professional in-person and phone presence and etiquette, preferably bilingual – English and Portuguese.

– Proficient in computer skills and knowledge of database management software.

– Capacity to work with little to no supervision using effective time management and organizational skills.

-Responsible for time sensitive material.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Build and manage client relationships by offering financial products, including life insurance, annuities, MYGAs, IRAs, and ESAs.
• Generate new leads and close sales using personalized strategies.
• Recommend financial solutions tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
• Conduct virtual and in-person client meetings to explain products and services.
• Stay current on industry trends and product knowledge.
• Collaborate with the team members for ongoing training and development.
• Meet sales goals and grow client base independently.

Qualifications

• Sales or customer service experience is helpful, but not required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong work ethic.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and offer personalized solutions.
• Valid life insurance and financial product sales licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple client relationships effectively.
